The first-ever ASEAN edition of the global phenomenon “The Color Run” will be held in Singapore on 17 and 18 August 2013 – and Project Happy Feet is its chosen beneficiary.
For every registration, $1 will go towards Project Happy Feet to support its cause. The event is expected to attract 16,000 entrants.
Organised by IMG, The Color Run is a unique five-kilometre fun run that gathers participants to run through showers of colored powder in a celebration of health and happiness. Started in 2012, this “happiest 5k on the planet” has become the single largest event series in the United States and is gaining traction around the world. For 2013, there are more than one million people around the world who registered in over 100 international events and The Netherlands edition sold out within 18 minutes of tickets going on sale!
Project Happy Feet volunteers Deborah and Terence were invited to attend the press conference held at W Hotel at Sentosa on 26 June 2013 to meet with sponsors and the media.
While addressing the audience on stage, CEO of presenting sponsor CIMB Bank Singapore Mr Mak Lye Mun said: “Through its work and tireless efforts, Project Happy Feet brings hope and joy to the many lives it touches throughout ASEAN, where CIMB operates and we are thrilled to be able to do our part in spreading happiness to those in need through The Color Run. We believe that Project Happy Feet has a valuable story to share with the participants of The Color Run and will enrich their overall experience. Not only can runners celebrate their own health and happiness, they can feel great knowing they made a difference in the lives of others.”
Registration opens on 28 June 2013. Details on www.thecolorrun.com.sg.
Project Happy Feet would like to thank The Color Run, the organiser IMG, and presenting sponsor CIMB Bank Singapore, as well as other sponsors for choosing Project Happy Feet as its beneficiary.
